Potential areas of innovation include, but are not necessarily limited to, methodologies or analytic methods for tackling major scientific questions or that are applicable to a wide range of datasets; imaging technologies; and assay development.
The winner will be given a free registration to Biomolecular Imaging & Informatics 2022 where they will be invited to present their work. They will also receive a 1-year SBI² membership and a cash prize of $1,000.
Postdocs or early-career scientists. The successful applicant will typically have no more than 5 years of post-degree experience, but the Society recognizes that even those who have received their most advanced more than 5 years ago might still qualify for the award given the particulars of their career.
To be considered, please submit the following:
- An abstract (≤ 300 words) with up to two (optional) figures
- A statement outlining the merit of the applicant and their suitability for the award (≤ 300 words). Candidates will be scored based on the novelty and scientific impact of their work as well as on the degree of their independence from their mentors or teams in planning and executing it and on challenges they had to overcome.
- A relevant publication (optional)
