Stephen Straub

Revvity

Steve Straub is a Principal Product Specialist for High Content Imaging and Cellular Analysis at Revvity, where he applies his scientific and technical expertise in imaging, image analysis, and automation to support drug discovery and research efforts across a diverse user base. Before joining Revvity, Steve was a Senior Scientist in the Cardiovascular, Metabolic, and Endocrine Diseases Research Group at Pfizer in Groton, CT, where he established an imaging and electrophysiology lab to support the development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of diabetes and obesity.

Steve obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and performed his postdoctoral training in the lab of Dr. Mark Nelson at the University of Vermont School of Medicine. His academic research focused on elucidating the mechanisms by which intracellular calcium signaling and ion channels control various physiological processes including matching blood flow to neuronal activity in the cerebral cortex, cerebral vascular function, and exocrine cell secretion.
