Membership Types
Professional
$100.00 (USD) / year
A regular member holds an academic or professional degree (Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate) with an interest in biomolecular imaging and informatics, material sciences, and screening large data sets. In addition to the rights expressly granted to regular members under applicable law and these Bylaws, regular members shall enjoy such privileges as determined from time to time by the Society’s Board.
Postdoctoral
$50.00 (USD) / year
Postdoctoral researchers holding a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g. M.D., D.V.M.) with an interest in biomolecular imaging and informatics, material sciences, and screening large data sets and under the direction of a research mentor shall be eligible for Postdoctoral membership, subject to conditions set forth in the Bylaws. This category of membership may be maintained for up to six calendar years.
Student
$25.00 (USD) / year
Students with an interest in biomolecular imaging and informatics, material sciences, and screening large data sets, who are enrolled in a relevant professional graduate or undergraduate degree program, shall be eligible for Student membership, subject to conditions set forth in the Bylaws

Membership Responsibilities
💳 Dues & Standing
– Annual dues are assessed on a yearly basis
– Members must remain in good standing by paying dues on time
– Late dues may result in temporary suspension of member privileges; extended non-payment may result in forfeiture of membership (with the option to reapply)
🤝 Professional Conduct
– Members are expected to act in ways that support SBI2’s mission and community
– Conduct should align with Society bylaws, policies, and codes of conduct
– The Board reserves the right to review serious violations in a transparent and documented manner
🗳️ Participation with Integrity
– One member, one vote. Proxy and transferable memberships are not permitted
– Members serving in elected roles must disclose conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when appropriate
🔁 Membership Status
– Membership can be reinstated by rejoining and paying current-year dues
– Membership is non-transferable
– Members may resign at any time; previously paid dues are not refundable
