Evgeny Shlevkov

Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Evgeny Shlevkov, Ph.D. is Assistant Director of Drug Discovery at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, where he leads a multidisciplinary team with the mission of finding new therapeutic candidates for the treatment of schizophrenia. To achieve this goal, Evgeny’s team combines genome engineering in hiPS cells with phenotypic small-molecule screening and image-based profiling.



Prior to joining the Lieber Institute, Evgeny served as Head of Neurobiology at Myrobalan Therapeutics. Evgeny received his PhD at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain) and did his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. Evgeny is recipient of the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation Fellowship and the Ministry of Science and Education of Spain Fellowship for the Training of University Professors, among other awards.
