Stephen Walker is a Principal Research Scientist at Abbvie where he runs the high content screening group in the Molecular Screening and Characterization department. His group utilizes high content analysis to provide cell-based target ID, phenotypic screening, SAR, and molecular characterization for therapeutic areas across the organization including Neuroscience, Virology, Oncology, and Immunology, as well as external collaborations. Prior to joining Abbvie, he spent 16 years in the Applied Genomics Department at Bristol Myers Squibb where his high content training began. He has experience characterizing imaging assays with physiologically relevant models including ipsc-derived neurons and cardiomyocytes, primary cells, and organoids. He obtained both his BS in Biology and MS in Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh.
