Debby Nickischer

President elect

Debby Nickischer is a seasoned Research Scientist with over 25 years of experience in high content imaging and screening.  Currently, she has taken on the role as Associate Director, Bioassay and High-Content Imaging Group Lead in Platform Biology at Arvinas, Inc. She is leading the screening efforts for cell-based and high-content assays. She has been with Arvinas for 7 years.  She started as the in vitro assay lead in neuroscience and then moved to Research IT where she led the integration and implementation of innovative IT solutions to streamline R&D operations.  She graduated with a B.S. in Medical Technology at Kutztown University.  Her first 10 professional years were in clinical laboratory science focusing on Immunology and Virology (LVHN, UNC, LabCorp).  She moved to pharmaceutical drug discovery research (Lilly, BMS, Pfizer, Yale) where she built her expertise in high content screening, image analysis, flow cytometry, assay development, HTS, and automation.  She also worked in industry (Thermofisher) as a FAS and contributed to developing and testing new products for imaging acquisition and analysis.  She has lead teams in clinical and research labs. Debby has regularly volunteered for SBI2 and previously served on the SBI2 BOD as a councilor and then secretary.
