Ilya Goldberg

Ilya Goldberg is a consultant at IGGtec.com, specializing in AI and computing applications for imaging and big data in the life sciences and medicine. Previously, he served as Chief Science Officer at ViQi Inc., where he led the development of their AI-driven phenotypic profiling tools and cell-based assays. As co-founder and CTO of Mindshare Medical (now RevealDX), he spearheaded the development of their first-of-its-kind AI software medical device for lung cancer risk assessment in CT scans.
Ilya’s career includes 15 years as a Section Head at the National Institute on Aging, leading an interdisciplinary team that pioneered machine learning applications for biomedical imagery. After a post-doc in crystallography at Harvard, he co-founded the OME project at MIT, developing the OME XML data standard and the first iterations of its software architecture. Ilya holds a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and a BS in Biochemistry from UW-Madison.
